When I first met Tucker, the GSD rescue had brought him over to my house to do a home check. This included inspecting my home and yard to ensure that I did have a fenced back yard. Tucker really enjoyed getting to see and smell my backyard. His foster mom was there, and the rescue owner asked her to leave first so that there would not be an awkward goodbye when it was time for him to stay with me. I had bought a bottle of wine from the San Sebastian Winery for his foster mom to thank her for everything that she did for him. After everyone left, Tucker and I took some time to bond and I was very happy that I had been able to adopt him and give him a better life than he had previously.
